Respite Program

The Harold C. Schott Respite Center provides short-term care for up to eight guests.

The Harold C. Schott Respite Center provides a much-needed break for families caring for a special needs child at home. Our respite program is designed for non-ambulatory children and adults with severe/profound mental and physical disabilities. Nursing and direct care staff provide 24-hour personal and medical care.

The respite center is licensed by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities. Payment for respite services may be covered through Medicaid or a variety of waiver programs, private payment, Hamilton County Family Resource Center, or the St. Joseph Home Family Respite Access Fund (scholarship). The donor-funded Respite Access Fund was established to give financial aid to families in need and to ensure no family would ever be turned away for lack of ability to pay.
